SensorZone integrates with camera systems installed on machines to provide video evidence of safety events. Use the video features to review incursions, investigate incidents, and monitor site activity.
Accessing video
Video is available from the Machine detail page. Navigate to Machines, click a machine that has cameras installed, and select the Video tab.
Requesting a clip
To retrieve a recorded video clip:
Select a timestamp
Choose the date and time for the footage you want to review. This is typically the timestamp of an incursion event.
Set duration
Specify how many seconds of footage to retrieve (e.g., 30 seconds, 60 seconds).
Request the clip
Click Request Clip. The system contacts the machine’s DVR to retrieve the footage.
Wait for processing
The clip request goes through several stages: Requested → Processing → Ready. This may take a few minutes depending on connectivity.
View or download
Once ready, play the clip directly in the browser or download it. If the machine has multiple cameras, each camera’s footage is available separately.
Clip statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|
| Requested | Clip request has been sent to the DVR |
| Processing | Footage is being retrieved and transcoded |
| Ready | Clip is available for viewing |
| DVR Not Online | Machine’s DVR is not currently reachable |
| Request Error | Something went wrong — try again later |
The DVR must be online and connected to the network for clip retrieval. If a machine is in a remote area with poor connectivity, clips may take longer or fail until the machine reconnects.
Live streaming
Where supported, you can watch a live video feed from a machine’s cameras. Click Live Stream on the machine’s video tab to start watching. The stream uses HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) and works in any modern browser.
Viewing clip history
All previously requested clips for a machine are listed on its video tab, sorted by timestamp. You can re-watch or re-download any clip that’s still available.
